Also known as devil fish or stingray, it is a large marine fish that lives in tropical and subtropical waters. Known for their unique flat body and wide wing shaped pectoral fins, which enable them to glide gracefully in water. The body size is usually large, with some species having a wingspan of up to 7 meters. There are various colors, ranging from deep blue to light gray, and some species even have spots or patterns. It mainly feeds on plankton, small fish, and crustaceans, and consumes food through the use of a filtering system at the mouth. Usually swimming near the seabed or sea surface, sometimes jumping out of the water for spectacular jumping movements. Gentle creatures that are not aggressive towards humans.
